1:RP properly...(we are not in third grade. I hope.) :
-In third person. You may only use first person in your character's thoughts.
This is wrong:
I went to the beach. I went in the water. "Hey, Bobby," I said.
This is right:
Sarah walked along the beach, kicking up sand. It was a quiet, dreary day, and she regretted coming out. She dipped a bare toe into the icy water, instantly taking it back out. "Ouch!" she whispered. She saw her friend Bobby, a ways away, down the beach. "Hey, Bobby!" she called out to him.
-Using complete sentences.
This is wrong:
*Picks up a leaf* *Eats the leaf* *Smiles*
This is right:
Carl picked up a leaf from the ground. He hadn't eaten in weeks, it was a punishment. As his hungry eyes gazed at it, he made up his mind, and ate the leaf. Chewing it was an interesting experience, for the thing tasted of outdoors and dirt. He smiled. I am wierd.
-I know this is sort of harsh, but don't use *action stars* or action keys like: *+*, - +-, <+>, etc. Please use quotation marks.
-DO NOT: tyP liEk dIS!!1!!1 i dnt no bout u, but i dnt liek readin dis!!11!!one!!1 PLEASE, for the love of all humanity, type PROPERLY.
-I'm not expecting perfect spelling and punctuation all the time, just try your best. It's easier to read and enjoy well-written posts. And cursing is allowed, just keep it to a minimum. You know what I mean, be realistic.
2: Don't play other people's characters. What I mean by this is:
Danny shook Carla's hand. Carla smiled.
If you're Danny and not Carla, don't decide what Carla's doing. It's not your decision. Okay?
3: Please don't have your own conversations with one person in a thread when the are a number of persons.
Example:
Dan: Dan walked up to Jen. "Hey Jen, how are you?"
Bob: Bob noticed Dan and went over to him. "Hey Dan!"
Jen: Jen smiled. "Hey Dan, I'm good, you?"
Anne: Anne grinned at her company. "Hey guys!"
Dan: Dan hugged Jen. "I'm good."
If you are Dan and Jen, please involve the others in the conversation.
4: On your application form, where it says 'Have you read the rules?' type '[Your Name here] Coombayas Under the Morning Sun'
5: You MUST have at LEAST three sentences per post.
Bad example: "Yeah," Shirley said. "Okay."
Good example: Shirley smiled and her nose crinkled, as usual. "Yeah," She struggled to say through a grin. "Okay, let's go." She took Jeff's arm gingerly and accompanied him out of The Talon.
Thats all, everything else goes...
